About

What We Do

We design and deliver standardized, project-based curricula in STEAM, healthcare, and nutrition that can be sent anywhere and tailored to the specific group and culture it is taught to. Our programs use simple, affordable materials so they can be easily replicated by teachers and volunteers anywhere. What makes STEAMHEALS unique is our emphasis on:

  • Customization: We adapt each program to reflect the needs of the community we serve.
  • Accessibility: We provide resources in multiple languages and formats so no child is left behind.
  • Mentorship: College and high school students teach and mentor younger peers, fostering leadership and community.
  • Global Connection: We bring together students, educators, and institutions across borders to share knowledge and build impact.

Our Programs

Students 4 STEAM

Our high school and college clubs design and lead STEM projects (like Marshmallow Towers and Pasta Mobiles) to teach elementary and middle school students.

Healthy HEALs

Our nutrition and wellness curriculum, developed by UNC students, is taught in Thailand and India. Programs cover topics such as exercise habits, healthy eating, and menstrual health education.

About STEAMHEALs

How We Work

Global Reach

Global Reach

Our model is simple and scalable:

  1. Identify a community of need.
  2. Design a tailored curriculum based on research and feedback.
  3. Recruit and train student volunteers to teach and mentor.
  4. Partner with schools and organizations to implement lessons.
  5. Sustain programs through ongoing mentorship and community partnerships.

This cycle ensures that programs last beyond one-time events and continue to grow with each generation of student leaders.

Global Reach

Global Reach

Global Reach

  • North Carolina – Local outreach in Chapel Hill and Charlotte through neuroscience and nutrition programs.

  • California – Partnerships with schools like the Boys & Girls Club of Pacoima.

  • Thailand – Ongoing nutrition and health education at Thonburi Wittaya School in Bangkok, in collaboration with Mahidol University.

  • India – Programs at all-girls schools in Vrindavan, focusing on nutrition and menstrual health.

Our Impact

Global Reach

Our Impact

  • 1,000+ students reached across three countries.

  • 40+ student educators and volunteers from diverse majors and backgrounds.

  • Sustained partnerships lasting from 6 months to over 2 years.

  • Growth in leadership: expanding from a small founding team to a multi-branch international organization.

We measure our success not just in numbers, but in the confidence and skills our students gain, inspiring future careers in STEAM, healthcare, and beyond.
